Description:

Plenty is Ottolenghi’s new recipe book, a follow on to his previously published book, The Cookbook, with plenty of new recipes (excuse the pun – 120 to be exact), this time however the book is purely vegetarian (something which you would be forgiven for not noticing when you first read it).

Review:

After reading and cooking from this book it is almost a surprise that Ottolenghi is not a vegetarian himself looking at the quality of the dishes he shares.  I think it is safe to say that we are all in love with Ottolenghi as he has not only brought us fantastic restaurants but also a cook book which truely is a thing of genius. We recommend it to vegetarians and meat eaters alike.

We love the fact that it is split into ingrediant sections making it very easy to create dishes from ones own larder and the recipes are wonderfully easy to follow.  And the pictures are superb!

It does not feel at all like reading a vegetarian cookbook, the absense of meat is truely not noticable as Ottolenghi is not trying to replace the meat component of a dish with a vegetarian substitute but making wonderful dishes which stand up wonderfully all on their own.  Hurray for Ottolenghi!

A perfect gift or treat for oneself!
